Cancer

Medical lawyer warns of 12 symptoms of ‘ignored’ deadly cancer as US reports 71,000 new cases each year.

Did you know that over 71,000 Americans were diagnosed with head and neck cancers in 2024 alone? According to the National Foundation for Cancer Research, these types of cancers affect areas like the mouth, tongue, throat, and voice box, and are often misdiagnosed or overlooked until it’s too late.

👩‍⚖️ A Legal Expert’s Warning

Kate McCue, a Senior Associate Solicitor at Simpson Millar, a UK-based medical negligence law firm, has noticed a rise in patients being misdiagnosed or sent away with antibiotics—only to later find out they have cancer.

“Timing really does make all the difference,” she says. “Catching the disease early can lead to better survival rates, less intense treatments, and a much better quality of life.”
