It all started when a TikTok user (@agentgp1978) shared a video of someone combining the main ingredients of mayo.
The post demonstrated to viewers how to create their own mayonnaise by merely mixing the ingredients, which generally include at least eggs, oil, mustard, and vinegar.

Although the final product may be delicious, witnessing the procedure has elicited varied responses.
Some viewers embraced the approach and were even enticed by the sight of the sauce coming together, with one person stating: “Why not use Coconut oil! That would make the home made mayo the bomb!”
Another remarked: “An egg and oil. That’s it. Use a good extra virgin olive oil, and you’ll never want to buy it from a store again.”
In contrast, other viewers were not as taken with the process.
One asserted: “I will never see mayonnaise the same.”
Someone else expressed: “I can still remember how I felt so betrayed the day I learned how mayonnaise is actually made.”
